One of the dancers (who shall be nameless) said I looked bare skinny in the first video version and the lip synching wasn't good. Pye had told me to do something commercial. This was it. A lot of effort went into it. It took a full day to mix back then, with one of the first studio computers, which frequently overheated, holding backing track mixes on huge floppy discs. I even envisaged the wooden studio dancers at Top of the Pops that no amount of special effects could disguise. Pye said this wasn't it. John Scott Cree (vocals, cowbell, guira, cabasa, maracas), Linda Taylor and Sharon Campbell (Backing vocals), Geoff Whitehorn (guitar), Alan James (bass), Mike Bailey (synthesiser), Pete Kircher (drums), Tony Carr (congas, bongos). Violins: Julian Gaillard, G. Palmer, D. McConnell, D. Moody, L. Rossi, L. Clay. Viola: W. Jones, G. Scott. Cello: Robin Firman, Denis Vigay. String arrangement by Mike Bailey. Produced by Tony Atkins. Video uses footage from 70's concerts at Salli! s Benney Theatre, Brighton UK, plus Cree Towers, 2012.
